ME. Novice coffee drinker who, up till now, has had no greater aspirations for cuppa knowledge than how to get a steamy brew of rich dark roast placed in my hands.
WHAT. Exploring the process from green to bean, testing new roasts, experiencing the striations of coffee culture and sharing the journey of learning and working with a master roaster.
YOU. My co-explorer, buzzed wide awake and enamored as you gulp cup after mug, sharing your caffeinated questions, thoughts and wild coffee life of your own.
WHY. Where there is a thirst for quality and knowledge, research always begins with the black sludge, especially when IT is the topic to be studied.
And here’s the kicker. Of all the master roasters on this continent and beyond to which that deep rich brown color is the shade they see most often, my java mentor has been blind since birth.
Goodbye novice status, hello informed-coffee-connoisseur. Or as I like to call myself, Queen-of-the-Quest-for-Coffee-Truth. What else is going to wash down that plate of cinnamon rolls? A spot of tea??? Back to the Java Journey.
